Incredibly sad to hear of Sally's passing. Sally was a dear friend to our family for over 20 years. We first became acquainted with her at Mayfair Elementary. She always shared inspirational stories every time we met. She spoke proudly of her family especially her own children. Her love of the arts, culture and education I will always remember. She is, and will be greatly missed. Blessings and condolences to her family. Enjoy paradise Mrs. Alvid.
Til' we meet again?

So sad to learn that Sally left us during my foray to France -- she would have so enjoyed the "travel report". Sally will be greatly missed by the family and all of her friends. Sorry not to have been here. With my love, your former "niece-in-law", colleague, and keeper of the family genealogy database! Holly

Sally was my favorite teacher at Winchell Elementary. I loved her. She was exceptional. She treated me with kindness & sparked my curiosity about the world with her travels to Honduras & Mexico. She taught me that I could do anything & she believed in me. She was an amazing cook & I'll never forget her having our entire class over for dinner. And no paper plates were used. Her best dinnerware was on the table. She made us feel very special. She was the best teacher & friend. May her soul soar above the clouds to our Lord and rest safely in His presence. Sally your legacy lives on in your family and in people like me. You've touched my life forever. Rest In Peace. Family, you're in my prayers.
