Sara Bailey Obituary
She graduated from Henderson State University, where she was on the homecoming court, a class favorite and a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. There, she met the love of her life, Ronnie (R.C.) Bailey. They lived happily together for more than 63 years.
She worked in elementary and middle school education her entire career at schools across Texas, including Dunbar Elementary in Dickinson. She touched the lives of many young people in the area, and was especially fond of sharing books with students.
Sara made her home for the past 55 years in League City, along with her husband, Ronnie (R.C.), where they raised three daughters. She was a long-time member of League City United Methodist Church and an active volunteer.
Sara was known for her generosity of spirit, genuine warmth, her ability to make anyone feel welcome, and her radiant smile. She was a true "lady" in every sense of the word.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband of 63 years, Ronnie Bailey. Her family includes Lisa Bailey Radebaugh (daughter) and her husband, Bob Radebaugh of Austin, Texas; Lindy Bailey Schillaci (daughter) and her husband, Vinny Schillaci, of Nassau Bay, Texas; Carol Bailey Cain (daughter) of Austin, Texas; and her granddaughters, Heather Marie Nash and husband, Jon Ryan Browning of West Linn, Oregon, Sara Elizabeth Radebaugh and Grace Ann Radebaugh, both of Austin, Texas. Her family also includes Cathey and Ken Turner (sister and brother-in-law) of Little Rock, Arkansas. She also had many nieces and nephews, who all loved their "Aunt Sara."
A service celebrating her life will be held at League City United Methodist Church on December 4 at 2 pm.

SARA'S friendship and beauty of person, her generous ,caring heart, generosity shown in endless kindnesses, ever lives and blesses my heart. Condolences to Ms. Bailey's family and friends. Having recently met two of her wonderful daughters Lisa and Lindy, I got only a glimpse of what an extraordinary woman she was. May she reside in God's embrace knowing her legacy will endure. Blessings to all.

Sara Bailey was the "bestest" friend and finest person I have ever known, and her memory will live in my heart forever.
Sara touched the lives of everyone who knew her...her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, the twinkle in her eye, her unselfishness, her love, compassion, and concern for others.
St. Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, described Sara the best - by the way Sara chose to live her life, seeking to make the Fruits of the Spirit to be her standards:
"faith, goodness, gentleness, godliness, knowledge, kindness, humility,self-control, forbearance, forgiveness,perseverance, affection for all, and love, above all..." Ch.5
In her career as an educator, she was a compassionate, conscientious, fun teacher that students adored.
As a dear, dear friend , Sara was loyal, ever so much fun, and understanding in steadfast caring ways.
Sara's love and devotion for her family was always #1 in her world. Her legacy is incredible, talented, beautiful daughters, granddaughters, sons-in-laws, relatives who cherished Sara, and Sara adored them, "right back"', on beyond zebra!
I feel such joy for Sara, mow in perfect harmony in Heaven, with Our Savior, sharing eternity with her beloved Ronnie, the lovwe of her life, helping him search out the very best fishing holes Our Lord has to offer!
May the blessing of Sara in our lives give us thankfulness and peace of heart.
