Verna Phillips Obituary
Verna Ruth Phillips, age 78, born January 31, 1937, passed way, Saturday night December 12, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital, Pasadena, Texas. Verna was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was raised in Houston, Texas. She married Leon Phillips June 14, 1952 and they resided in Pasadena, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband's, Leon Phillips and Jim Colston; parents, Vernon Lewis Price and Ruth Ester Price-Cooper and sister, Rebecca Mae Price. Verna is survived by her adopted son, Brian Ray Phillips of Alaska; brother, Louis Price and wife June of Houston; nieces, Sheree Chism, Diana Miller and nephew, Randy Price.
She was loved by her family and friends and will be missed. The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Central Assembly of God, located at 4405 Crenshaw Rd, Pasadena, Texas 77504.
