Virgil Sims Obituary
He was employed at NASA from 1965 to 2006, most recently with United Space Alliance. He was a longtime member of the Watters Road Church of Christ in Pasadena, TX and a current member of Longmire Road Church of Christ in Conroe, TX.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Ethel Bates Sims, his first wife, Elaine Napper Sims, and brother, Wayne Sims.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Girard Sims, sister Julia S. Howdeshell, brother James D. Sims, sons Brian D. Sims, Scott A. Sims, William S. Riggins, Richard R. Riggins, daughters Vicki S. Leal (Lonnie), Rosalind R. Ferguson, Elizabeth R. Roesch, grandchildren Danielle A. Leal, Joshua G. Leal, Lauren A. Leal, 12 others and 1 great grandchild.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
