JAMES LARGOZA Obituary

In Loving Memory of JAMES U. LARGOZA aka Jaime Umali Largoza Nov. 2, 1927-March 30, 2010 Jimmy, as he is called by friends, was a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduate from the University of the East. After completing the Advance ROTC program, he was commissioned in the Philippine Constabulary as a 2nd Lt.Of his varied assignments including that of a combat officer and a company commander, he regaled telling his chil dren and grandchildren how his training as a Scout Ranger honed his personal discipline, self denial and determination to reach his goals. This was put to the test when a PAL plane crashed on the mountain of Baco in Mindoro, Philippines. He led the search and rescue team, which he trained in jungle survival skills and was the first to reach the crash site. He is survived by his children: Jim, Julie, Jamir and Joyce; and his 9 grandchildren. Jimmy and wife Chit recently celebrated their Golden Wedding annive rsary. Now Graced with eternal life, Jimmy was a stroke survivor. It is the wish of the Loved One that the interment be a private family affair. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the James U. Largoza Memorial Edcation Scholarship Fund at 655 N. Azusa Ave #176 Azusa, CA 91702.
