Fernand LaBrecque

LaBRECQUE, FERNAND "BIG SAM" Born 9/10/24 in ME, died 2/13/05 at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Loma Linda, CA., at age 80. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeberg "Nikki" LaBrecque. Sam was a Sgt. in the Army Air Corp. & maintained an interest in vintage aircraft. He was also an avid model railroader. A salesman by occupation, he spent his later years in service to his community as computer volunteer and instructor at the Goeske Senior Center, providing computer skills to his congregation at Trinity Lutheran Church, and as an elections Precinct Captain, among other activities. No matter his pursuit, he was always engaging, charming, humorous, and ready to talk at length. Visitation Fri., 2/18/05 from 5-9 P.M., Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, Riverside. Graveside service, Friday, 2/25/05, 2:01 PM, Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area #6. Memorial service will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church, Riverside.
