David Griscom Obituary

David Anthony Griscom

David Anthony Griscom, son of two, brother to two, husband of one, father of three, grandfather to seven, returned to Our Creator, Our Redeemer, Our Sanctifier on Thursday 2013 to enjoy peace evermore.

On a date to be scheduled, David's ashes will be entombed at Barrancas National Cemetery.

David entered our world on 1 September, 1954 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. David honorably served in Uncle Sam's Air Force. David will be remembered by all family members, and many friends he acquired in his travels down Life's Highway.

We express deep gratitude to Hospice Caregivers in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach area, as David valiantly struggled against cancer.

Special Thank You to David's caregivers at Emerald Coast Nursing Home.

In the future, we will once again join David at a later date. Till then farewell. David's favorite Psalm is Psalm 30.

David had one of the best smiles and would melt your heart with it. I cannot believe you were taken so young but I guess Heaven needed another angel so behave yourself up there until I get there and then we will have fun again. Love Always, Cindy

When they were teenagers and older, Dave was a great and caring friend to my son, who needed Dave. He was a kind person,a joy to have around. We are so sorry he is gone. He did not deserve such an early death. My sympathies to Fran and Buck. Dave is now at peace.

What is etched in the heart shall forever remain. I am so thankful for all my memories of you. I am thankful you found me again after nearly 40 years and for our many phone conversations. I am especially thankful you came to see me. I will never forget you David and I know you are at peace now. My heart felt sympathy to your entire family in this time of great sadness and loss. You will be forever missed and loved David. God Bless my friend until we meet again, and we all shall.

My heart goes out to the entire Griscom family. While I did not have the pleasure of knowing David, I know he comes from good stock and it is obvious he left behind a great legacy of love and family.

No parent should ever have to deal with the death of their son or daughter. This terrible illness has not spared a single person. My wife and I will pray for Buck & Fran and continue praying that some day a country who can put a person on the moon and take a photo of a license plate from space will find some common denominator to prevent future parents from going through the pain that Buck & Fran have experienced. Buck is a legendary public servant, who has dedicated his life to serving his community. Our hearts and prayers go out to all who knew and loved David Griscom. Tommy Moran
