Jonathan "Johnny" Johns

1959-2011

Jonathan "Johnny" Johns, 52, of Pensacola passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 8th, 2011. Born on January 7, 1959, Johnny was the youngest of seven boys born to Perry and Minnie Johns. A lifetime resident of Pensacola, his personality and sense of humor were larger than life.

He has two devoted daughters through his marriage to Tonia Johns.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Minnie and brothers, Perry, Archie and Bill.

He is survived by his daughter, Shanna Church and her husband, Timothy Church; his daughter, Renata Johns; two grandchildren, Brendan and Patrick Church; his brothers, Willie, Paul and Robert Johns, a large extended family, and a supportive group of lifelong friends.

The visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 11th, and the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 12th both at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. .

In lieu of flowers, his daughters request that you please send a donation to

Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or Appetite for Life of Pensacola.

FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.
