Daniel "Larry" Ewald

Daniel L. "Larry" Ewald of Chesapeake, VA entered eternal life on March 1, 2022. Larry was born in Southbury, Ct to Daniel and Olive Ewald, but his family moved to Norfolk, VA in his early childhood. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and Norfolk Catholic High School where he excelled in academics and sports, and he was an all-star Football, Baseball, and Shotput athlete during high school. Following his graduation from high school, he attended Old Dominion University, but he ultimately pursued a career in the Tile industry with his father and brothers. He eventually started his own business, Larry Ewald Tile Company and became a Master Tile Setter. His talent is exhibited in some of the finest homes in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Larry was devoted to his work and family.

He is survived by his son, Danny Ewald, daughter, Natalie Lynn and her husband, Todd, granddaughters, Madison and Lauren Lynn, brother, William Ewald, Sister-in-Law, Peggy Ewald, Brother-in-Law, William Freeman and his wife, Delores, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his Mother and Father, Brother, Tommy Ewald, and Sister, Kathleen Campbell. Larry was blessed in marriage and again later in life with his beloved, Cindy Ewald, who nurtured and cared for him to the end.

All who knew Larry knew his quiet demeanor and generous spirit. He will be forever missed and remembered by all who were blessed to have known him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19th at 2:00 p.m. Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk, Virginia.
