David Paul Obituary

David C. Paul

Virginia Beach - David Carroll Paul, 54, of Virginia Beach, passed away the morning of January 3rd, after a sudden illness. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a good friend, and talented musician/songwriter. Front man for the band Two Tone Cadillac, he was a true performer who entertained so many people over the years all across the country, from California to Virginia Beach. David played a variety of instruments and communicated his love for people and life with his music. Beyond music, his first passion was surfing. Growing up in Huntington Beach, CA, he was a champion competitive surfer who took on the best of his generation. David was a larger than life personality with a huge heart. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be dearly missed.

David is survived by his father, Tom Paul; his longtime loving companion, Marianne Consolazio; and brothers Tom Paul and his wife Jill, and Dan Paul and his wife Stephanie, his nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Rosemary and his sister Susan Paul.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13th, at 1pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home's Oceanfront Chapel, 18th and Baltic Ave. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the animal charity of your choice or the American Brain Tumor Association. Online condolences may be left to the family on his memorial page at altmeyerfh.com

I got to play guitar with him quite a few times at his crib and was shocked to hear this. But he's rock 'n' rolling Upstairs with Gene and Eddie

David and I didn't always see eye to eye, but we were married for ten years, and I have lots of really good memories of those days.
He had charisma and talent and looks galore, and I still miss some of the original songs he used to sing to me. I'm humming them to myself tonight in memory. Unforgettable.
Pet Dexter for me, David.
Condolences to Tom Sr., Tom Jr., and Dan. Hope you're all well.

Much love,
Kirsten

Dave will surely be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him! A great singer and song writer, it was a blast hanging out in the living room playing guitars or just watching the news and riffing on anything and everything.Rock on amigo...

So sad! I travel to Virginia Beach monthly on business and quickly became friends with David when I met him at Starbucks and he was playing music. Every time I was at the beach the first thing I would do in the morning would go hang out with him and his father listen to a few songs, tell some stories and then I'd be off to work. I would always look forward to my next visit. We talked about music, the Civil War and life in general. David was a great guy and I'm thankful that I got to meet him and to hear is music. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. My thoughts are with him and his family.

I write this with sorrow in my heart and soul when I heard that my friend David
passed to the other side. I grew up with David in Huntington Beach, Ca., learned to surf with him and a group of other guys that still live there. I have many wonderful memories surfing and hanging out with David who totally ripped. David wasn't just a talented musician, he was an
awesome entertainer.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
