I'll sure miss Edgar Evans, he was so easy to talk to and I always loved his jokes. He lived a long and wonderful life but it sure won't be the same without him.

Because we are members of the ARE Family, my husband and I received a request to pray for Edgar Evans Cayce as he was making his transition. We held him in the light as we prayed for him to have an easy, peaceful, love-filled journey. His passing has affected all of the members of the ARE family, for we know what a kind and wonderful soul he has. He will be greatly missed by all of us, but we know that we will see him again. Our most heart-felt condolences go out to his family. Our wish for them is for comfort and healing to shine down on them, and for peace to light their path as they go forward.

I had the privilege some years back of sharing breakfast with Edgar Evans at a Palestine Retreat in Texas. We did't talk much about his father but instead he shared his memories of his childhood at Virgina Beach; picking up firewood along the beaches, etc., etc. A very special soul. I went to work at Vepco in Nov 1959. "Cayce" as we called was like a father to me. He knew I was a country gal from Carolina naive as all get out and he took me under his wing, protecting me from the wolves! I really loved him like a father and always thought of his as my Vepco papa.
I've thought of him often and will always remember him affectionately.
I am looking forward to seeing in heaven.

To the Family Of Edgar Cayce....Please accept my sincere condolences in your loss. It was an honor to have known him through many years of walleyball. One of the nicest men I've ever met. I was indeed fortunate to have counted him among my friends. He & my father both went to Duke Engineering School about the same time. I cherish the little book that he gave me. R.I.P., Edgar.
