Henrietta Valentine
Portsmouth - Henrietta E. Valentine, 91, of the 7400 block of Red Brook Road, passed away on November 17, 2011 in Norfolk. A native of Jackson, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Matt Amos and Mariah Epps and the widow of the late Tommy Towns, Sr. and Henry Valentine.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Juanita (Ernest), Bernice (Robert), her devoted caregiver, Bessie (Willis) and one son, James; a sister-in-law, Mary Vaughns, twenty-five grandchildren, three of which were special caregivers, Michelle, Daralene, and Renee; thirty-seven great-grandchildren, one of which was a special caregiver, Deiyauna; and nine great-great-grandchildren; Henrietta is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives, friends, and her church family.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, with the Rev. Joseph Fleming, Jr. officiating. The burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at Corprew Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.
