Jeanette C. Rodrigues

Jeanette Cecile Rodrigues, 79, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away January 28, 2019.Born in Virginia, she was a graduate of Suffolk High School and was amongst one of the first women from Suffolk to join the U.S. Air Force. She was a very proud U.S. Air Force veteran. She worked for Rices Nachmans, Thalhimers, and Macy’s for many years. She was an avid reader and supported PBS for many years.Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Jason Dale and Ophelia Laine and two brothers, Michael and Britton Laine. Left to cherish her memory: a son, Raymond J. Rodrigues (Oralie); a daughter, Linda C. Rodrigues; a son, John P. Rodrigues; granddaughter, Athena Rodrigues; and a sister, Vicky Laine Leary (Philip).A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 515 Court Street, Portsmouth, VA 23704.
