John Killmon Obituary
Norfolk - John W. "Jay" Killmon Jr., 52, passed from this life on July 16, 2012.
He was predeceased by his father, Jack Killmon. He is survived by his mother, Marie B. Killmon; three sisters, Sheila Killmon, Lynn Altom (Daniel) and June Killmon; two nieces, Katie Altom and Jackie Greene; and a nephew, Aaron Altom. He adored his cat, Miss Kitty. Jay graduated from Lake Taylor High School and became a plumber's helper. During his later years he enjoyed photography and woodworking. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Robin Thelan of Senior Corp, Consulate Health Care of Norfolk, and Heartland Hospice for all of their support.
A memorial service will be held at the graveside in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby St., Norfolk, on Friday, July 20 at 11 a.m. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater is assisting the family.

Killmon's, I don't even know what words to use. Jay and I were friends forever, I have pictures of us in a wading pool grinning and one of him dress as Daniel Boone and me as a Nurse all they way to prom and dancing lessons. I love Jay, he was such a genuine and caring person. He will forever remain one of my dearest friends.

I remember "little" Jay when he used to stand right in front of the TV - he would always smile because he had made his sisters mad because they couldn't see the screen...He will be greatly missed, but he's at peace now with our Lord. Our love to the entire family, but especially Marie...

I also will miss Jay. I can still recall his laugh as he was winning a game of aggravation. Don't forget the game nicknames he gave us ...."Lucky One", "Bossy One", "The Whinner", and "The Expert" (Jay). Jay was one of the most compassionate persons I have had the pleasure of knowing. He loved people.
