June Lyons Obituary
Virginia Beach - June Elmore Lyons, age 74, of Juno Beach, Florida passed away on January 28, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
June was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and was the daughter of Julius and Josephine Elmore. She was the oldest of 5 "J" sisters (June, Jeanette, Judy, Janelle and Jeanine).
She was a 1957 graduate of Princess Anne High School and William and Mary College, Norfolk Division. June was a teacher who excelled in math.
June is survived by her husband, Richard Lyons; son, Bret Lyons (Christi) of Virginia Beach; daughter, Richelle Lyons Burnett (Loren) of Niwot, CO; six grandchildren, William, Richard, and Vincent Lyons; Cielle, Devi, and Zander Burnett; and sisters Janelle Lancaster of Montana, and Jeanine Elmore of Arkansas.
A celebration of her life will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4200 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach at 1pm on Saturday, February 16, 2013.

She was my neighbor on Tyro Lane at Wintergreen VA for many years. We shared many walks around the mountain, and visits. Her dog Buddy was best friends with my cat Belle. June was a delightful, gentle, and outgoing lady whom I remember with fondness.
