Virginia Beach - Scott David Cohen Jr., born on December 27, 1988, in Newark, New Jersey, passed away on February 27, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 37.

Scott was a kind and compassionate soul who touched the lives of many. He dedicated his professional life to serving others, working in customer service for Life Protect (Medical), where he provided support and care with empathy and understanding. His commitment to helping those in need extended beyond his work, as he was known for his generous spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

A man of diverse interests, Scott had a passion for wrestling, music, DJing, gaming and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. These hobbies brought joy to his life and allowed him to connect with others, creating lasting friendships and cherished memories.

Scott was a proud graduate of Princess Anne High School, class of 2009. Throughout his life, he maintained strong ties with his beloved family and friends, all of whom will miss him deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julia Vasquez and Ronald J. Raymo. Scott leaves behind a loving family: his brother, David Vasquez (Klymeka); his sisters, Patricia Reid (Loren) and Sharon Raymo; his nieces, Julia, Isabelle, and Abigail Vasquez; his nephew, Ryan Allen (Jennifer); and his great-niece, Scarlett. Scott's memory will also be cherished by his fiancée, Amy Gelfand, and her children, Charlie Johnson and Leilani Johnson, who were an integral part of his life. His three beloved dogs, Kali, Khaleesi, and Kaya, were constant companions who brought much happiness to his days.

Scott will be laid to rest alongside his mother at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk at a later date. In honor of his caring nature and the love he shared, his family and friends find solace in knowing that his legacy of kindness will live on in their hearts.

Scott David Cohen Jr. left a significant impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His empathy and compassion for others were evident in every interaction he had, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
