Lemon Bennett, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was born August 1,1953 in Martin County, NC to the late Jerry Bennett and Naomi Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one son; Terrance Porter, of Tarboro, NC, two brothers; Jessie Bennett of Portsmouth, VA, Dan Bennett of Princeville, NC, four sisters; Mamie White of Portsmouth, VA, Gloria Shafter of Brooklyn, NY, Doris Nelson and Rachel Faye Bennett both of Portsmouth, VA.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, at Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend George Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
