March 16th 2020. Dear Evans Family. May god bless your family in this time of sorrow. I meet Michael on the Nimitz in 1977. He gave me the nickname "Jersey". Michael had a heart of gold. I remember the time we stayed at my brothers house after a Giants game and he befriended my nieces and nephews. They all got Christmas presents from Michael that year. I'll always remember him as a great guy with a big heart. So many great memories with him in the Navy when we were young men.
