Patsy Cartwright Obituary
Chesapeake - Patsy C. Cartwright, 73, of Chesapeake, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015.
Born in Pittsylvania Co, Virginia, she was the daughter John W. and Laura Powell. She was also predeceased by her husband H. Gene Cartwright; daughter Angela Creech; brother, Ray D. Powell and a sister Roxey E. Woodring. Patsy was a homemaker, who took pride in her home and was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her son, Glenn R. Cartwright and wife Terri; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Cecil N. Powell, Wesley Franklin Powell, Willard Powell, Joan P. Balbirnie and June P. Sheffel, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake. Rev. Ron Stuart will officiate. The interment will be private in Lake Drummond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

I have lots of fond memories of aunt Patsy, fun, happy times at the beach, at Grandma's house and at her house. I loved the fish fries she would have with all the family there. No more suffering now. Aunt Patsy, may you forever rest in peace. Glen, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
