I always enjoyed being in Bob's presence.
He was a warm human being, easy going, affable and had a great sense of humor.
I remember our spirited conversations about currents affairs and politics,
and also Bob stressing the importance of a good gin and tonic on a hot summer day.
And watching him have fun playing with his granddaughters Lauren and Paulina, the three of them pretending to sip tea from
miniature teacups.
Bob loved his wife and family, and I think he would have done anything for them;
Life gets no better than that.
Bob is a gentleman and a patriot, and I will miss him.

Evelyn Forehand......Fondest memories of an outstanding, kind, gracious, sweetest gentleman. Two days before his passing into eternity I woke up with the words to a song.....WHEN THOSE PEARLY GATES SHALL OPEN WE SHALL WALK THE STREETS OF GOLD. Now he is walking those streets of gold!!! Sending my heart-felt condolences, prayers, love to you and family..e

I am saddened and sorrowful beyond words at the unexpected loss of this wonderful, gentle man. My good fortune in being able to meet and get to know Bob came with the good fortune I had in my blossoming friendship with his wife, Faye, through our passion for painting and the outdoor festivals we both participated in. Bob was always there, helping his wife in every way, taking care of all the details involved in participating in her outdoor art festivals. I can see him now, after all the hard work accomplished, sitting quietly and humbly "behind the scenes", ever keeping an eye out for anything he could do to make it easy for Faye to only focus on speaking to the numerous admirers of her beautiful oil paintings. Faye, a veteran of these festivals, on seeing I was new to it all, befriended me and both she and Bob took me under their wing, having me to their home, and providing so much valuable advice, assistance and encouragement. What I will always remember about Bob is that he would make his way through the crowds to my booth to stop by and give me a hug, a laugh or two, and a his kind and encouraging words. I loved Bob for that, and wish I could have told him how very much that act of thoughtfulness meant to me. A truly great, humble and caring man. My love to Bob and all of his loved ones at this most difficult time. Karen Sutton
