Tam Bryant

Tam (Helen) Bryant, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 19 th . Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, she

was the eldest daughter of Vu Van Huan (father, deceased) and Nguyen Thi Am (mother, deceased). In 1964, she married her dedicated husband, Michael Forrester Bryant, and moved to the United States. They re-located from Beeville, Texas to Virginia Beach, Virginia and it was during this time that she opened and operated her bar The Diamond Lounge. When she retired, she and her husband spent time traveling the US by car, something she loved to do. She enjoyed swimming and spending time with her grandchildren, Aubrey Susanne and Geoffery Dean. She

also loved to shop, and her family would often laugh that she seemed to enjoy bringing things back more than the actual shopping experience. She is pre-deceased by her son, Tommy Michael Bryant, her brothers Vu Van Thang, Vu Van Hung, and her much beloved sister Vu Thi Cong. Surviving, in addition to her husband Michael F. Bryant, are her children, John M. Bryant and Caroline Anastasopoulos and her husband,

Peter; her grandchildren Aubrey Bryant, Geoffery Bryant, Eleftheria Anastasopoulos, Sophia Anastasopoulos, and Arianna Anastasopoulos; her sister Nguyet Kilborn and her husband, Ron; her sister Lan Ballard and her husband, Robert; a very special niece, Jaqueline Old and her

husband Jimmy; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, the 27th of September, immediately followed by a service at Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Interment will take
