Walter Kirkland Obituary
He is survived by his sister, Debbie Kirkland Hicks and her husband, Billy; his brother, Dr. Stokes Kirkland and his wife, Janis; a nephew; and numerous nieces and great nieces.
After graduating from John Yeates High School in Suffolk, Walter served in the US Navy. Then, for many years he worked at DePaul Medical Center and more recently for On-Point Services. He was a lifelong Elvis fan and enjoyed NASCAR races.
Walter will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 19, at Mt. Zion Cemetery on Eclipse Dr., Suffolk. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, is handling arrangements.
