James Pepper Obituary

James Garrett Pepper Jr., 82, of Lebanon Junction, died on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at North Hardin Health and Rehab in Radcliff. < br /> The native of Colesburg was an Air Force staff sergeant and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired assistant manager in the car shop for the L & N Railroad Co. He was a Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Peppers.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Helen Joyce Cofer of Lebanon Junction; daughters, Lynn Marie Edmonds of Lebanon Junction, Lisa Ann Dougan of Colesburg and Leslie Elizabeth (Patrick) Brown of Crestwood; two sisters, Eva Boston of Louisville and Loretta (Eugene) Maddox of Lebanon Junction; a brother, Edward Leon Pepper of Radcliff; six grandchildren, Garrett Dougan, Glenn (Gina) Dougan, Selena Dougan, Hannah Brown, Nicholas Brown and Sydney Brown; and great-grandchild, Cayleb McGrew.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with the Rev. Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
