Lloyd Dooley Obituary
He was a native of Mount Washington, a retired Bullitt County Sheriff, where he served for 25 years and a former Mount Washington Fire Department firefighter.
He served on the Mount Washington City Council, was a member of the Mount Washington Lions Club, Bullitt County FOP, Mountain City Cruisers Car Club and member and former deacon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garner and Bertha Dooley; and siblings, Irvin Nall, Garner Lucille and Bonnie Jean Dooley, Anita Ann Lutes and Betty Jane Lutes.
He is survived by his wife, the former Arbidella Gentry; three sons, Lloyd Allen (Pam) Dooley, Dwight (Kelly) and Daniel (Jennifer) Dooley; a daughter, Delinda (Kris) Rothmans; brother, Jerry Dooley; sisters, Martha Baskett and Judy Stallings; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at First Baptist Church of Mount Washington with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the church. Memorial gifts may go to the Mount Washington Lions Club or the Kentucky Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch.

So many good memories from our childhood days in Mt. Washington. A former classmate, friend and neighbor, Shot will be remembered forever for his love and concern for others. We will always know that God gives us memories so that we might have roses in December.
