We are saying goodbye to a bright light in our lives. Pat was a listener. The one we could dump our troubles on, who did not pass judgement, just words of understanding. She had a smile, a twinkle in her eye and a cookie that lifted your spirits. She was our friend, always, and she loved us no matter what predicament we got ourselves into. She was our true example of all that we could aspire to be. A kind, loving, generous spirit who travelled a hard road. We lost a beacon of light but she left bushels of light behind for us to follow. To us, she was Christmas and we thank God for the beautiful gift of her. (This is what Pat wrote for our Mom but Pat, too, exemplified these words.)
