PEORIA - Richard A. "Rich" Lyons, age 78, of Peoria passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at 9 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born June 10, 1934, in Peoria to Kenneth and Helen (Kloubcher) Lyons. He married Kathryn Hornsby on Sept. 3, 1960, in Peoria.
She survives along with two sons, Richard Lyons of Peoria and Jeffrey Lyons of Peoria Heights; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles (Shirley) Lyons of Texas.
Rich was a glazier working out of Local 1164.
He loved to fish and was an avid bowler, once bowling a 300 game.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will take place Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Following the services, burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with military honors.
