Roberta Pike Obituary
MORTON - Roberta F. Pike, 72, of Morton passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Apostolic Christian Restmor, Inc. in Morton.
Roberta was born on October 12, 1945, in Peoria to Frank and Charlotte (Andrews) Gilbertt. She married Jim Pike on April 26, 1966, in Bartonville, Ill.
Surviving are her husband, Jim of Morton; one daughter, Debbie Pike and her husband, Michael Gasiamis, of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Marsha (Dick) Rankin of Colorado and Judith Gilbertt of California; and one grandson, Nolan James Gasiamis.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, James Michael Gasiamis.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Roberta was a well-known interior designer who had impeccable taste. She and her husband owned and operated the Gilbertt Furniture and Upholstery business in Peoria until the store closed in 2008. The family business, which she joined when she was 21, was in operation for over 70 years.
She was a member of Pekin Country Club, where she enjoyed playing golf and mahjong with her friends. Roberta was a Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant in the Peoria area for over 10 years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., with sharing of memories at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care Roberta was given by the staff at Apostolic Christian Restmor.

To Jim, Debbie and family,
Our hearts are so sad with the lose of our wonderful friend. Jim, we so enjoyed our fun times with both of you.
Roberta and I always looked forward to our train trips to Chicago, especially when we could meet up with our daughters. I have such fond memories of her and thankful for every one. I will miss her so much.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Roberta, I worked with her when we both were just out of high school at Travelers Insurance Company. I was surprised when the store closed because it was something she enjoyed so much.

I knew Roberta in high school, and our friendship continued through these many years. She was a beautiful, regal looking lady, but she was also a beautiful person inside. She was kind, thoughtful and smart. I will really miss her, but i know she is with God and smiling down on her family and friends. God bless her and her family.
