PEKIN - Sally Anne Look, 61, of Pekin passed away at 3:43 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 7, 1953, in Newport, R.I., to Robert Lewis and Marian E. (Squier) Reid.
Surviving are her mother, Marian E. Reid of Pekin; one daughter, Charissa A. (Scott) Becker of Manito; one son, Clinton A. (Kathy) Look of Marquette Heights; three grandchildren, Taylor Becker, Dylan Becker and Conner Look; one brother, John B. (Diane) Reid of Edelstein; and one niece, Kaitlynn Reid. She also leaves many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Sally was a 1971 graduate of Pekin Community High School and a 1972 graduate of Stephens Academy.
A licensed cosmetologist, she had worked as an Elizabeth Arden cosmetologist at Bergner's in Pekin and as a hairstylist at Lake Manor.
She was a member of St. John's (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley, where she also volunteered with the food pantry.
She studied martial arts with the Jim Price School of Karate. Sally also had a gift for interior design.
Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at St. John's (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley. The Rev. Kevin Bueltmann and the Rev. Chris Sansom will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, and also from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 13443 Townline Road, Green Valley, IL 61534 or to an education fund for her grandchildren established at CEFCU.
