Nancy Stafford Obituary

Nancy J.B. Stafford, 79, of RR 3 Saylorsburg, died Thursday, May 20, in the Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough. She was the wife of the late James C. Stafford Jr.

Born in Charlotte, N.C., she was a daughter of the late William G. and Jennie (Dean) Banfield.

She was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II.

She is survived by a son, James C. Stafford III of Saylorsburg; a daughter, Nancy B. Stafford of Saylorsburg; three grandchildren: Nancy Hussmann of Saylorsburg and Andrew and Jacob Stafford, both in Massachusetts; three great grandchildren: Laura and Thomas Raffaele and Kassidi Hussmann, all of Saylorsburg; two brothers, Dr. William Banfield Jr. of Rockville, Md. and Dean Banfield of Coventry, R.I.; two sisters, Patricia Smith of Silver Springs, Md. and Phyllis Chowaniec of Hazelwood, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville. Burial will be in Dotters Corner Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. Monday, until the time of the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
