Shirley Buskirk Obituary
Shirley E. Buskirk, 68, of Stroudsburg died Thursday, Aug. 4,, in her home. She was the wife of the late Homer J. Buskirk.
Born in Hamilton Township, she was the daughter of Gladys (Kresge) Stout of Snydersville and the late Emory Stout.
She had owned and operated her own baking business in Stroudsburg for 15 years. Prior to that, she was employed as a cook at Hamilton Elementary School; and had worked in area blouse mills.
She was a member of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Ronald Buskirk of Stroudsburg; two daughters, Nancy Kerdzaliev of Wind Gap and Brenda Gilbert of Stroudsburg; one brother, Kevin Stout of Cherry Valley; one sister, Linda Handelong of Cherry Valley; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at William H. Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville. The Rev. Samuel Ramnit will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Eaton Cemetery, Saylorsburg.
A viewing will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
