Charles Galloway Obituary

Mr. Charles L. Galloway, age 78, of Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

Mr. Galloway was born November 27, 1946, in Cedartown, Georgia, son of the late Calvin Galloway and Myrtle Evans Galloway.

Following graduation, he served honorably in the United States Army. After leaving the Army, he began his lengthy career as an auto mechanic. In his retirement, he enjoyed his time farming his pear trees, peach trees, blueberry bushes, chickens and raising Great Pyrenees puppies.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Galloway is preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Pruitt.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Mrs. Linda Hayes Galloway; son, David Galloway; siblings: Kathy Cox (Eddie), and Mike Galloway (Debbie); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Charles were held Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Butch Tant and Reverend Buddy Privett officiating.

Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery with Rockmart American Legion Brown-Wright Post 12 Honor Guard providing military rites.

Charles's family received friends Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Smith & Miller Funeral Home, from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
