JoAnn Parks Obituary

July 1, 1931 - April 22, 2024

JoAnn Parks of Port Charlotte, Florida died Monday, April 22, 2024, at 92 years of age.

JoAnn was born in Springfield, Illinois. She spent most of her life working as a receptionist at various companies in Illinois including Georgia Pacific, Bunn-O-Matic, and First Trust Bank.

In Florida, JoAnn worked for American Medic and eventually retired from there. She loved the ocean, boating, and looking for seashells. She loved to read and called her books "my friends." Her family was the most important thing to JoAnn.

She will be deeply missed by many friends and family.

She is survived by her four children Deborah (Stanley) Brotherton, Lyle (Connie) Parks Jr., Lori (Mario) Bernardo, Lyndell Parks, grandchildren Shem Nelch, Lauren (Ryan) Gleason, Caitlin (Arielle) Parks, Lindsey (Alexander) Pedraza, Lyle Parks III, Lisa Brotherton, Joseph Brotherton, great-grandchildren Colton Nelch, Parker Pedraza, Alisea Brotherton, and Destiny Brotherton, great-great grandchildren Luna Jacobs and Hudson Jacobs. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Lyle F. Parks Sr., father-in-law Russell Parks, mother-in-law Vera Parks, mother Kathleen Davenport and father Joe Davenport.
