William Pruitt Obituary
Bill was born on May 20, 1955, in Shelby, Ohio, to Richard and Ellen Louise "Hill" Pruitt.
Bill was most happy on a golf course with a club in his hand and was known as "Birdie Bill". He was such a talented golfer and after retirement, he worked part-time at the Bluffs golf course.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jim Pruitt and David Pruitt, and his sister Linda "Pruitt" Miller.
He is survived by his fiancé, Barb Cole of Port Charlotte, Florida; his daughter, Leslie J. Pruitt of Cary, North Carolina; his stepdaughters, Jessica Cole Reynolds, and Jenelle Cole, and his stepson Jeremiah Cole, all of Michigan; his brothers, Tom Pruitt of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Jason (Jamie) Pruitt of Reading, Pennsylvania, Joe Hubbard (Jackie) of Akron, Ohio and Mickey (Lisa) of Shelby, Ohio as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life dinner at the Bluffs Golf Course on June 30, 2024, starting at 12 p.m. The address is 8037 US-17 S. Zolfo Springs, FL 33890.

I first met Bill ( my brother-in law) we were so young and full of life (1978) As I think back Bill had some much love for his family especially his daughter Lesley .I believe he was taught this from his mother as well as his brother Jumbo. Family meant so much to them. I know he shared a love in his heart for his fiance Barb in which they shared this love for many years. WE can only strongly believe that now Bill is with his family. R.I.P.

Bill was a great friend to many. He loved his golf and he played the game well. We just don´t understand why but I am sure he is giving some lessons to some in heaven. May you keep his memory alive.
