I am saddened to learn of Joseph's passing. I enjoyed having the Willis brothers as students at Wilbur Wright Middle School. Joseph and Joshua often came to my office after school as many students did to talk about the day, concerns, report good grades , etc. and to get a piece of whatever candy I had for an after school treat. Joseph was definitely a leader and very productive and serious about his studies. I was happy to learn that he just completed his M.B.A. He was more motivated and more mature than the bulk of his classmates. Mrs. Willis and Joshua and James, I am very sorry for your loss of your wonderful son and brother. You all have my deepest sympathy. I didn't learn of Joseph's death until after the funeral. I would have come had I known sooner.
Sincerely,
Annette Wisniewski

Joe was inspiring. Who in any sport could not instantly like, admire and welcome conversation with a young aspiring athletic trainer with a never quit attitude?
Years ago when I rode marathon bicycle in Indiana, such a gifted trainer was rare to find. Can't help but wonder what Joe might have done to help to improve a time, a performance. All in sport can appreciate Joe's dedication to sport.
Joe will be remembered for his tenacity, optimism and love of family. A never quit attitude is contagious and deeply respected.
Sincere condolences to Joe's family and prayers to find solace at this time.
