Patrick McKee Obituary

Patrick Bouvier McKee, 57, was born September 7, 1963 in Gary, Indiana to the union of L.B and Alma Jean McKee. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus in Gary, Indiana after a short illness. He is preceded in death by both parents; L.B. McKee and Alma Jean McKee, Rev. Victor R. McKee (brother), and Patricia J. McKee (daughter). Patrick graduated Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana, in 1981. He was a Lieutenant at the Indiana State Prison for 25-years. He was also a Coordinator at Edgewater Behavioral Systems in Gary, Indiana, until his retirement in 2016. In 1984, Patrick married Starlynn Creal (McKee) and to this union, three beautiful children were born. Patrick leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Barbara A. Gunn-McKee, two children; Kamia McKee of Gary, IN, and Patrick McKee II of Merrillville, IN; three siblings; Diane McKee-Fitzgerald of Portage, IN, Landry Bruce McKee (Jamie) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Janice Renee McKee (Pastor Steve) of Auburn, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family. Last but not least, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving Bichon, "Roxy." Homegoing service will be held, Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at The City of Refuge Christian Church, 5402 U.S. Hwy 6 (Ridge Road); Portage, IN 46368. Pastor Michael A. Pirtle officiating. Services will be live-streamed on Facebook. Professional services rendered by Powell & Coleman Funeral Home.
