Sallie Clark was the nicest person I ever knew. She was so sweet and my best friends favorite aunt. Iyeshia was so close to her aunt Sallie which gave me a chance to also grow close to her. I'll never forget the second time I met Mrs. Clark and she told me to call her aunt Sallie. I was so touched that someone who barely knew me cared about me so much that they would consider me special enough to be like one of her own nieces. I love Mrs. Sallie Clark or I should say my Aunt Sallie. She will always have a place in my heart.

Ms. Clark was one of my most favorite and memorable teachers. If it hadn't been for educators like her, I would not be where I am now. My deepest feelings go out to the family and friends in this time of grief. My prayers for strength go to you all. Inspiration like her are the reason that us black students make it!

I grew up around Elder Sallie and can never remember her saying a hurtful thing to anyone. It always hurts to let go of someone close to you, but just remember that she was never ours to begin with. God loaned her to us for a short while, and I thank him for that. To Aaron, Aleta, and Iyeshia: yall are just like family to me. I love you all very much. Let's live our lives according to the will of God so that we may reunite with Elder Sallie again. -Mikki

Hearing of your passing broke my heart. Not saying goodbye to crushed my soul. Having memories of a woman who was small in stature, soft-spoken and determined to raise her kids the best way that she knew how, warms my heart. Knowing that I will hug you again, rekindles my soul. Miss you. Will see you soon.

Death is a GATEWAY

we all must pass through

To reach that Fair Land

where the soul's born anew,

For man's born to die

and his sojourn on earth

Is a short span of years

beginning with birth...

And like pilgrims we wander

until death takes our hand

And we start on our journey

to God's Promised Land,

A place where we'll find

no suffering nor tears,

Where TIME is not counted

by days, months or years...

And in this Fair City

that God has prepared

Are unending joys

to be happily shared

With all of our loved ones

who paitently wait

On Death's Other Side

to open "THE GATE"!

Soon I will be done with the troubles of this world, I'm going home to live with God! To Dave, Aleta, and family. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. She was a God sent, she touched so many lives. I know for a fact that she is in a much better place in heaven. Now there are two angels looking down. God will take care of his own. To the bereaved family of Ms. Clark she was a compassionate woman who was dedicated to educating children. Weeping may endureth for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. For we know that death cannot hinder, but rather hastens the blessedness of saints of God, for it retires them from labors and promotes them to rewards. God bless you and keep you during your time of bereavement.

On behalf of the staff at Locke Elementary School in Gary, Indiana, our heartfelt condolences go to the family of Ms. Clark. We feel her physical lost because she was a member of our school and community family. She touched the lives of so many young people. Ms. Clark never complained about her illnesses and reported to work as often as she could. When she reported she gave her best because she loved her job and most of all her students. God bless her soul and let her life be an example to us all.

When I received the news of the passing of our beloved Sallie, my heart ached. She may have been petite in size and soft spoken, however, she was a big person with a stong voice. I can not begin to put into words the impact Sallie has had on the lives of those she came in contact with. I am so terribly sorry I am unable to be with the family at this time, I do love you all very much, and I will keep you in my continued prayers. Be strong in the Lord.

My family and I are deeply sadden due to your loss. However, because of your life testimony, " We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." So take your deserved rest in the Lord deep cousin, for I know that we will meet again.

To the family, be strong in the Lord. You may shed some tears, but let them be tears of joy, knowing that Sallie has received her eternal reward. Be blessed.
