Such a weird, weird time of year. My mind is racing about everything today. Lost so many people that I care about that holidays are just not the same for me. I you all are there, I just can't hug you, ya know.
Today, my only option is to redirect and keep positive. New friends, new traditions and new ways of living. Sometimes, it just doesn't feel like it though. Things are never what we want them to be. We try so hard to control, fix and manage that we forget that we don't have any say in it at all. We are just along for the ride. I just keep doing what I think is right. I know you all are with me and you won't let me fall. It's really hard sometimes, to do what is right. Especially when your heart tells you something completely different.

WOW, just about a year now and I still think about you each and every day. There are really no words to tell you how much I miss U, I miss talking to you every morning on the phone, I miss having someone who understands the way I play yahtzee, I miss the way you could take it as well as dish it out, believe it or not I miss the way you were NEVER humble when you won or lost ANY game, lol, there are sooo many more things but I would be here forever, But most of all I miss that deep laugh with that beautiful smile and at the same time flicking me off. To Dina I am so sorry to hear just today of the loss of such a beautiful person, Vern. That is the name that I remember her by from the old days at Cracker Barrel. Veronica's smile and laugh I will never forget. She is one of the people at the Barrel that I really enjoyed and I have many fond memories of her. I hope that all is well with her children, becuase I now how much she loved them. I also hope that all is well with you. I am not sure that you will remember me, but I remember Vern and to hear of her loss through a friend that I have not spoken to in a while, I feel as though she jsut left us today. Although I didn't attend the benefit, you are on my mind daily. I wake up and look at your picture and all the other people I have lost in the last 15 months and it gives me the motivation to face another day. Things are very different in my life now. I do not see the people that I used to on a daily basis. I am recovering and God has brought new friends into my life. These people have become a great support to me and my moving forward in life. I still think about the others and the ones, like you, who have gone on to something better. I never forget because it helps me to stay focused and remember what is priority in my life. I want you to know that I love you and I miss you.
I hope you welcomed my dad last month when he passed because he was really scared to go. I told him that it would be okay because you all would be there. My friends: You, Angie, Carol, Khrissy, and our deceased family members and friends to greet him. I am sad for the losses but realize it has made me stronger to take on the world.

V~you would have been so thrilled. The benefit that WoJo's and Ruthies conducted for your kids was sooo wonderful. Not only did everyone have such a great time, but I know that they raised a lot of money for your kid's future. You mom looked beautiful and your dad had that handsome smile on his face.
The shirts that they made were so damm cute. They even made pink bandanas and black hats. I know you were there with us, I just wanted to tell you about it.

I just found out about Veronica's passing today and I am so very sorry. I only met her this year when she helped organize a fundraiser for my daughter, Katie. Even though she didn't know me & my family, she was so kind and caring to us. I pray that she is happy in heaven and that each day without her will get easier to bear for her entire family.

You were so beautiful inside and out. I hadn't seen you in a few years, but you are a person that is impossible to forget. I will never forget how infectious your laughter was, how your eyes lit up when you talked about your kids, the love you had for your family, what a blast it was working with you and how sad my heart was when I heard the news. I truly believe you will always be there watching over the ones you loved.
You were such a strong person...I imagine you will be a pretty AMAZING angel as well!!
I am praying constantly that God's peace that passes our own understanding will fill the hearts of those who love you now and always.
So many people called you friend, Veronica. You are so missed and so loved.

I dont want to believe that I am writing this to you! I was blessed to have been given the chance to know you and to have you by my side through some VERY difficult time! I will miss seeing your BEAUTIFUL FACE and telling you things I dont tell others and knowing that you would give me the truth! YOU WERE AN AMAZING PERSON!!! GOD BLESS YOU VERO!!!!!!!
