David Whitman Obituary
David A. Whitman, 53, Neenah passed away at his home on Saturday, April 30, 2016 following a battle with cancer. He was born Oct 22, 1962 in Appleton to the late Kenneth and Margaret (Ullrich) Whitman. Dave graduated from Appleton East High School in 1980 and enlisted in the U.S. Army for 6 years. He most recently was a welder with Oshkosh Truck Co. until the cancer prevented him from working. His passion was Motorcycling and his dogs. He was also a long time member of the Genesis Club of Appleton.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Danielle Whitman, Appleton; a sister, Donna Kane, Oconto Falls; brothers: Mike Whitman, KY and Jeff Whitman, Appleton; nieces and nephews and 'The Boys', Hunter and Ben.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, James Kane.
A Time of Celebration for Dave will be held at 7 PM, Wed. May 4, 2016 at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Military Honors to follow. Friends may visit the family from 4 - 7 PM Wed. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

My Condolences goes out to the whitman family. David was very unique guy, I enjoyed going on some of the charities rides and be able to say hello to David and see how things are going with him. He was very uplifting person. Glad I got a chance to meet an awesome person.

David You will be missed by so many, I know I have only met you for a short time. You are a very special person to other riders out there. I am so devastated that you gone. But, you are in good had with the lord and the Angels. No more pain and suffering and each time you ride the angels are riding along with you. Prayers goes out to the Whittman family. R.I.P. Our friend.... You are missed already. How many tears can we cry until they dry up? Cuz' they just keep coming, and I want them to stop. I'm happy for you - you are "home" and pain free and strong.... Riding that Harley like you should be. Thank you for being a strong person in my recovery walk. I'm glad I was able to talk to you recently and tell you that I loved you - those were my last words to you, and I'm grateful you are taking them on your new flight with angel wings.

I am lost for words. I always looked up to you as you were battling cancer yet never complained about having it, the treatments or the prognosis . Wow! You truly lived life as "His Will" not ours. I hope you know how many life's you've touched, certainly mine. I am sad you are gone but happy you are "home" and no longer weak from the cancer. Thank you in being part of my journey in recovery.
