Eric Jansen Obituary
Eric Jansen, 35, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2011. Eric was a graduate of Little Chute High School.
He is survived by his father: Steven (Diane); mother: Jill (Fred); a brother: Brian; his two children; paternal grandmother; maternal grandparents; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Rev. Steve Nickel and Deacon Vincent DeGroot officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Eric's name.

It´s amazing to think that all of these years have gone by already. I have mixed emotions when the anniversary of your passing comes. Of course I am sad, that is a given, but with the passing years, I can smile, and even laugh through the welling tears. Thinking about the past. Man did we get into the shenanigans as kids! Absolute mayhem for our parents! I´d give just about anything to go back to those days! I am blessed that I had the opportunity to know you and call you my friend. It won´t be long, bro, and we´ll be reunited to kick up a little mayhem once again.

Eric,
Today is the last day this book will be online. I miss you more today than ever. I love you and have loved you since the first time I saw you. I still can't believe you are gone. No more wake up texts telling me I'm beautiful and have a good day. No more words of encouragement when they are needed the most. You were my biggest fan and always pushed me to do and be my best.
You are the "great love of my life", my best friend and now you're in heaven looking down on me. I pray every day that you are waiting for me and that we will get it right in the next life.
I truly believe that you are with me, with all of us, that you are now my guardian angel. But I would give anything to have you back. I miss you, your hugs, your smile and it hurts.
To Eric's family; he was loved by many, loved unconditionally by me, and I know he is now at peace. I cherish every moment that was given to us. Steve, you couldn't have raised a more wonderful, caring, compassionate son.

Eric, you'll always be my son and best friend. I've felt your presence since that dreadful day and yet the good news I've heard on how you touched so many will forever live with me in my heart and memory. I'm so very thankful your at peace and rid of the pain you lived with. I will always wish I could have done more and will regret not trying harder. Steve, sorry for your loss of Eric..I know it has been a long time since i seen him..He was a good guy, i remember going to the Viking game with him and having a blast!!! he is in a better world now.God Bless HIM:)

Eric-
It still doesn't seem real that you are gone. Each morning I wake up expecting to hear from you or see you. The sun doesn't shine as bright, the air doesn't smell as sweet without you here.

Some times special thing happen at the saddest times. Your passing was the zenith of sadness of times for us, but your bringing your family and all of our families and many friends together was very special. The love for you was just so abounding and evident, that was great!
Even my four year granddaughter in Colorado had a moment sharing your love for your dad and all the many people that were at your funeral.

I got this quote from a friend at work. "People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel." It was apparent by the number of people you came last night to pay their respects to Eric and the stories that were told that he was loved by many and will be remembered for his crazy sense of humor.
