James Greely Obituary
Crandon - James E. Greely Sr. 80, of Crandon, formerly of Kimberly passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Navarrino on May 25, 1938, son of the late Merle and Laura (Riehl) Greely. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years a Boilerman Third Class Petty Officer. Jim was united in marriage to Margaret Friebel on November 29, 1958 at Holy Name Parish in Kimberly and spent 60 wonderful years together. Jim enjoyed all four seasons in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, but his passion was woodworking in the work shop. Jim worked at the paper mill in Kimberly for 47 years until his retirement in 2001. Jim lived life to the fullest, welcomed everyone with open arms, always gave a helping hand when needed, and loved life and family.
Jim is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Margaret; son, James Jr. (Bonnie); Steven (Rachel); Cindy; Scott; Vicki; Melissa (Mark); siblings, Geraldine (Ken); Willard "Buck"; Sandy; Sue (Jim); 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Junior and Ken; sister, Judy; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Terri; brothers-in-law, Lyle and George.
Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon, with Pastor Don Dewing officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to time of service.
