Kelly A. Meyer, age 54 years, of Marion passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her home.

The former Kelly Ann Kipfmueller was born January 18, 1958 in Royal Oak, MI, to Mark K. and Marilyn A. (Pariseau) Kipfmueller. As a child her family moved to Whitefish Bay and she graduated from high school in 1976. Kelly worked as a dental hygienist for some time while attending Marquette University in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage on June 1, 1991 to Atty. Michael C. Meyer at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay. After marriage the couple lived in Clintonville and in 1995 they built a home and settled in Marion. From 1983-1992 she worked as a Legal Assistant with Meyer & Haacke Law Office in Clintonville. Kelly continued working full time with Meyer Law Office as her health permitted, but after 1997 she began working part time. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, was an active member of the Marion Area Historical Society, and was a proud shareholder & season ticket owner of the Green Bay Packers. Kelly and Mike had backpacked in the Porcupine Mountains and Isle Royale National Park 50 miles end to end; canoed Quetico Provincial Park and Boundary Waters; rafted the Snake River in Wyoming; explored Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons and Grand Canyon; rode cable cars in San Francisco; skied Alta & Snowbird, UT, Breckenridge and Vail, CO. The couple had traveled all over the United States as well as Mexico and Canada.

Survivors include her husband, Mike, her father, Dr. Mark Kipfmueller of New Berlin, a sister, Barbara (Jean-Yves) Durocher of Toronto, Canada, and a brother, Jeff (Vicki) Kipfmueller of New Berlin. There are four sisters-in-law; Mary (Kim) Nelson of Arcadia, Meg (Ronald) Polzin of Tigerton, Marcia (Paul) Liegey of Rockville, MD, and Maureen (Dr. Michael) Volk of Green Bay. Kelly is further survived by a brother-in-law, Mark (Debra) Meyer of Madison, many other relatives & friends, and her basset hound, Vinny. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn, an infant sister, Elizabeth, her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Atty. Murray and Marilyn Meyer, and her basset hounds, Max, Charlie & Buddy.

The family wishes to especially thank the Marion community for their love and support of Kelly for so many years.

I will miss my friend, my "guardian angel" tremendously. So supportive, so strong, so inspirational, giving and caring. I am so fortunate to have known her. She was so positive. She never gave up and would not allow me to give up either. She was a beautiful woman in so many ways. In loving memory of Kelly, Peggy Bond

Hi Mur, Kelly, family, and friends. Yea, I was quite surprised when Dawne called me and gave me the news that Kelly and her 'higher powers' decided that it was time for her to 'take another hike'. Ironically enough, I spoke with her via phone just last week. I'm sure that anyone who knew Kelly would agree that she certainly had a 'one of a kind', and very contagious laugh. We'll see ya soon Kelly, and will tuly miss you in the meantime. Most sincerely and with love. doug egdorf D/E

I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly on our first day of high school, in Mr. Bleier's math class. We became fast friends and had a lot of great times in high school. Kelly was always laughing and always fun to be with. She will be missed very much. Mike, my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

Kelly will be remembered for her outstanding outlook on life. She was always so bubbly and charming and a joy to be around. She continually saw the positive side of any situation, even though she endured many of her own health challenges in the later years of her life. I for one have been lucky enough to have her as a dear cousin and will miss her dearly.
