Richard graduated from Neenah High School in 1963. After high school he worked for Bergstrom Paper Co. In 1965 he joined the National Guard. He retired from Kimberly Clark after thirty years. Since retiring, Richard worked for Bergstrom Automotive in Oshkosh and Appleton Automotive in Appleton. He loved outdoor activities which included: boating, fishing, camping and especially snowmobiling. He was always working in the neighborhood and having rummage sales. His neighborhood friends called him the "King of Craig's List."

Richard is survived by his sons: Jeffrey (Valerie) Jones of Oklahoma and Chad (Jennifer) Jones of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; brothers: James (Jacqueline) Jones, Robert (special friend, Lynn) Jones and Thomas (Kathi) Jones, all of Neenah; Step-brother, Howard (Shirley) Hess of Omro; and step-sister, Nancy (Fred) Brewer of Berlin. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and many special neighbors that he enjoyed spending time with and a furry companion, Copper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Jenney (Hess) Jones; and sister-in-law, Arlene (Sievert) Jones.

A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial St., Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Richard's name is being established.

I am sorry to have missed the service.... and be so belated with my condolences, but I only recently heard of Richard's passing from a neighbor.
I live in his neighborhood and also have fond memories of his zest for life, yet his gentlemanly, focused style and fun deals on "stuff."
My sympathies to his family; I wish I could have gotten to know you.
Godspeed, Richard.

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Richard. I met Richard through an ad I posted in Craig's List for a place to store my camper. He was so nice! He did so much for me, taking my camper in to "his guy" and getting it looked at, new battery, and stuff. He went above and beyond for me, as we only saw each other when I would drop off my camper to his garage and pick it up. We would continue to keep in touch through emails and texts. My most recent phone call to Richard, I was teasing him about the pretty nurses he had staying with him. I am so sorry to have missed his service. I just now heard of his passing.
My camper is being stored at the garage now, please contact me.

Jim, Bob, Tom....and family,

Sorry to read about Dick's passing.

Although I haven't seen you guys in a while, his passing brings back many memories from the 50's and the fun we had visiting the farm on Cty. G. Good old days with Harold, Helen, Milt, and Julia and the boys.

May God bring you peace and healing in the coming days.

God blessings,

Dennis Fuerst
