Audra Olive Winkler Kite, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 13, 2009, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
She was born May 15, 1922, in Hastings, Neb., to Clearence William Winkler and Olive Cornelius Munson Winkler.
At the age of 16, her family moved to Idaho Falls, where she attended schools, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.
On March 16, 1943, she married Edward Milton Kite in Bremerton, Wash. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1986. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Audie loved taking care of her yard and kept a beautiful home. She lived independently until just prior to her death.
Survivors are her son, Dean W. (Chris) Kite of Boise; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephew, Corlee Panker, Pam Panker and George Panker. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Milt Kite; a son, Edward Paul Kite; and a sister, Odette Winkler.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Rose Hill Cemetery (enter in at the Curtis and 21st Street entrance). Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Bonneville Humane Society, P.O. Box 2763, Idaho Falls, ID 83403-2763.
