Brian Hayes Obituary

BRANT LAKE Brian M. Hayes, 52, of state Route 8, passed away, Tuesday evening, April 8, 2008, surrounded by his loving family, at his lifelong residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Brian was a member of the last graduating class at Horicon High School in 1974, before centralizing into North Warren. He also volunteered with the Chestertown EMS for six years and thoroughly enjoyed volunteering on mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, raising beef cattle and spending time with his family and friends. Cheryl and all of the Hayes family,
Much sympathy is extended to you and the family. I'm Aileen's sister, don't know if you remember me. Brian called her Patsy, and I will never forget that. He brought me a load of logs many years ago, for fire wood. He was so young and tough then. I'm sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Sharon Harvey and sons Daniel and Daren.

Our community has been greatly blessed to have had Brian live among us. His selfless generosity could only be matched by his sense of humor. When people in Haiti needed a church built, Brian was there. And Haitians were laughing at his antics. When i was dangling upside down off a ladder by my paint leg, Brian was there and we were laughing.
Our community will miss Brian greatly.

I'll always remember Brain as a hard worker with a great sense of humor, and a dedicated firefighter. He was almost always there to get that first truck out, day or night (a couple times still in his slippers). It was a pleasure to get to know him over the past few years, as well as being able to work along side him while on call. Brian, I'm pretty sure I can speak for the whole dept. by saying you will be missed by your fellow Horicon firefighters.

The thing I will always remember most about Brian is the way he always had his arm drapped around Scott's shoulder in church . I have never know a more dedicted wife than Ruth. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Hayes family .
