WHITEHALL - Bruce W. Gordon, Jr., 35, of Dodge Road passed away on June 2, 2024, following a motorcycle accident on County Route 21 in the Town of Granville.
He was born on March 7, 1989, in Rutland, VT. The son of Bruce W. Gordon, Sr. and Brenda Austin Mahar.
He graduated from Whitehall High School, Class of 2007.
He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving his active duty in Okinawa, Japan. After his active duty he served in the Marine Corps Reserves receiving an honorable discharge in 2015.
Bruce was a self-employed General Contractor in Whitehall and the surrounding area.
He was a member of the Whitehall B.P.O. Elks #1491.
Bruce is survived by his father, Bruce W, Gordon, Sr. and Allyson Barber; his mother, Brenda Austin Mahar and Andre Hagadorn; wife, Miki Ookawa; son, Gage Gordon; several brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, NY from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. June 9, 2024. The Whitehall Elks Lodge 1491 will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow at 3:30 p.m. and the Whitehall American Legion Post 83 will conduct a Legionnaires service at 3:45 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall with Rev. Kevin Gebo officiating. Followed by Full Military Honors conducted by U.S. Marines and American Legion Post 83.

Bruce was one of my marine buddies. I just randomly searched his name to get ahold of him. He was a good man full of life. I have very fond memories from Boot Camp, to Okinawa to Australia and everywhere in between. My deepest condolences to the family.
