SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Floyd R. Barnes, 83, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. Born on August 25, 1940 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of the late Roy H. and Sylvia (Stevens) Barnes.
Floyd liked to keep busy with his hands. He worked many years for the Tiki Howard Johnson. He enjoyed working on old cars with his brother, David. He also enjoyed cooking, loved his cats, strawberry milkshakes and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Roy Barnes and David Barnes; a sister, Miriam Moore; and a granddaughter, Brianna Barnes.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Margaret (McCauley) Barnes; his children: Marion (Ed) Diehl, Floyd (Donna) Barnes, Janet (Phil) Tennant, Dan (Veronica) Barnes, Tammy (Todd) Corcoran and Tim (Diane) Barnes; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Robin, Jennifer, Mark, Johnathan, Emma, Lily, Lucinda, Elizabeth, Emily, Allison, Cody, Joe, Rachael, Cara, Brandon, Megan, Tamika, Matt, Chace, Chloe and Jax; a sister, Linda (Mike) Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Tony Gonzalez.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery, South Glens Falls, NY.
