Today I was using one of Larreta’s potholders and I envisioned her stopped at a traffic light picking up her knitting and making that for me. What a gal!

Thank-you everyone for your heartfelt messages. Thanks for the memories. My mother was someone who loved everyone she met and she is held in my heart with great admiration for her unending love for her family, friends, and God. She gave me the gifts of love, caring, sharing, honesty, forgiving, and above all a faith in God. Without this faith through her example of love, I could not have made it through many trials. She was always there for me with her wisdomand love, but above all with her heart. I miss you Mom, but I know you are still with me and I'm still depending on you to be my best friend. Love, Marcella

"A mother to many and an excellent role model." She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She so often comes to mind. I remember standing in line with all the girls to get my hair braded. I was always made to feel like one of the family. Still do.
My love and best to all of the Zvarick family.

My husband and I first met Loretta in 1981 at an open house. From that visit she became a part of our lives by finding (with unending energy) our first home which we still live in today. With this home came free rug braiding lessons from Loretta which I still enjoy today. Loretta will be sadly missed.

I was very sorry to hear of Loretta's passing. I knew her through Project Linus and used to drop off the blankets I made at her home. We would always have a nice chat and she showed me the beautiful hooked rugs she made.

Early in 1981 my wife Linda and I were looking to move out of our Audubon apartment, but had no idea where or how to begin looking for a house. One day, near closing time, we walked into the Collegeville Remax and that's where we met Loretta. From that point on she was like a mother hen to us, making sure we found the house we wanted then, some years later, ensuring that it got sold when a corporate transfer took us away from Pennsylvania. We stayed in touch with her over the years and we are greatly saddened to hear of her passing.
