Mr. Kimma was one of my most favorite teachers and he had a profound influence on me. Even though I was one of the students that always sat in the "Peanut Gallery" I didn't turn out half bad!
Thanks for making a difference Mr Kimma!

One of our family stories was how Hap taught my mom to drive in driver's ed. (in the 50's?) and he made everyone drive the car while keeping an egg balanced. She adored him and I am sure she was waiting at the gates of heaven to welcome him in. Our love and sympathy to you and your family.

Mr. Kimma was my 8th grade teacher, and the reason I pursued a degree in English. I am grateful I had the opportunity to tell him that and to talk to him and his lovely wife Betty on their visits to Patterson Library. He will be missed....

Mr. Kimma was a great teacher and a great man. He had a unique ability to target his curriculum to the abilities and appetites of each student. My education was far the richer for his instruction.

Mr Kimma was my favorite teacher! I came to Patterson Grade School in 6th grade and he made me feel so welcome. When I was promoted to 7th grade, he came along and I was lucky to have him then also. He was a wonderful teacher and a sweet and considerate man. Jeff, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom and brother. Janice (Prigge) Rushford, Dover Plains

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
