Jeanne Callan Obituary
Wappingers Falls, N.Y. - Jeanne F. Callan, 90, of Wappingers Falls, passed away on Thursday January 10, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving children and family.
She was born in the Bronx on July 28, 1922, the daughter of Daniel F. Egan and Marie Downs. On January 6, 1945 at St. Philip Neri Church, she married Eugene J. Callan, who predeceased her on August 23, 1980. Mrs. Callan was also predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Wilson in October 2006.
Mrs. Callan was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Wappingers Falls. She was employed as a secretary for Catholic Charities. Mrs. Callan loved to dance, play the banjo and the ukulele.
Survivors include her children, Maureen Cairl and her husband Ralph, Daniel Callan and his wife Ann, Martin Callan and his wife Andrea, Beth Callan-Rybicki and her husband Stanley, Jamie Callan, Suzanne Darling and her husband Dean. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, her 8 Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Monday January 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. Burial service will follow at the Assumption Cemetery in Cortland Manor, N.Y.
