John Kadar Obituary
Poughkeepsie - John W. Kadar, our beloved "Poppy" born October 18th, 1930, passed away peacefully on January 7th at the age of 90 in Poughkeepsie, NY.
On June 7, 1953 he married Marianna (Feiore) who predeceased him along with his brother Edward.
John is survived by his sister Marie (Leroy) Hentz, his daughters Karen Ann Archer and Marianne (Robert) Badaracco, his grandchildren Lauren (Brian), Caitlin, Celeste (Rod), Christa (RJ), Steven (Lilian), Sara, Joseph, 4 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
John was a Korean War Veteran and had a career at IBM. He will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather. An independent man, an avid outdoorsman, who loved camping, fishing, shopping and spending time with family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 11th at 1:00pm at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. Acceptable face coverings are required upon entering the church with limited capacity. Burial will immediately follow at St. Peter's Cemetery Poughkeepsie.
Arrangements are under the guidance of the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
